What does a MICROLAB Diluter do?
A MICROLAB diluter easily, accurately, and precisely controls the amount of blood and solvent aspirated and dispensed, allowing you to quickly prepare duplicate samples, controls, and standards. With the MICROLAB 500, you can program up to 20 methods or add the software package for unlimited method stroage.
For instance, you can program the MICROLAB 500 to aspirate a small amount of blood (500 µL or less) and the desired amount of an internal standard (e.g., n-propanol). With a touch of the hand probe button, you can dispense standard, sample, and diluent into a vial. Easily program methods with different sample volumes, dilution ratios, and syringe speeds.
Save Time
In less than one minute, you can aspirate and dilute a blood sample and internal standard to a final volume of 5 mL. If you need larger or smaller volumes, simply program the MICROLAB 500 for the volumes you need. Easily perform 1:10, 1:25, or 1:100 dilution ratios with 5, 50, or 500 µL of blood, as well as large numbers of repetitive dilutions. Customers who have switched to MICROLAB diluters report that blood alcohol dilutions and standard preparations now take only half the time.
Improve Accuracy and Precision

Select Syringe Speed
Select the speed at which the syringe aspirates and dispenses sample and solvent. Depending on sample viscosity and syringe volume, choose speeds from 1 to 250 seconds to aspirate and dispense your samples.
Eliminate Sample Carryover
The blood sample only contacts the PTFE® tubing in the Concorde hand probe, virtually eliminating any possibility of carryover or cross-contamination.
