Each year brings new advances in technologies for analyzing proteins, small molecules, metals, radioactivity, and many other applications. As detection methods continue to improve, other factors are exposed that limit the accuracy and precision of these quantitative methods, with consistency of sample preparation ranking amongst the top of the limiting factors. The MICROLAB 600 is designed to address this issue by minimizing variation in sample preparation while reducing the total time preparing samples.
How does the ML600 minimize variation and time spent on sample preparation?
The ML600 is a positive displacement system that is not susceptible to variations in atmospheric pressure like traditional air displacement pipettes. Diluting, pipetting, aliquoting, and titrating methods are stored in the system and recalled prior to use, ensuring that the same method is always executed. By automating the pipetting functionality, the technique-dependent variability is minimized. The user simply triggers the hand probe to aspirate or dispense the liquid.
