★ A radio system company

Enquiry:Is it possible to measure sugar concentration with the HSR-500 refractometer? We would like to measure the sugar concentration of honey.

Answer: The HSR-500 is called a sugar meter. The measurement range is from 0 to 90%.
The scale has the 3-range switching feature. It can measure the sugar concentration of honey. Honey should be around 75 to 85%. Please measure in the 3rd range of the scale.
*To measure the sugar concentration of honey, the PAL-22s or MASTER-3α, 3T and 3M are sufficient. (In this case, the customer already has a HSR-500.)

★ A contract manufacturer for pharmaceutical industry

Enquiry: We use the PAL-91S to measure the concentration of a cryoprotectant and the freezing point. The readings from the PAL-91S do not correspond to the freezing point chart we have.

Answer: The scale of the ethylene glycol refractometer PAL-91S is for the concentration and freezing point of orthodox ethylene glycol.
The NIBELINE (product name) is a coolant that contains various additives and preservatives. It has different concentration and freezing point from those of pure ethylene glycol solution.
Therefore the readings from the PAL-91S do not correspond to your freezing point chart.
